The CoastHills Community Foundation raised $33,000 at the annual Rancho Vino food, wine and entertainment event to help the Food Banks of SLO and Santa Barbara counties feed hungry children … ConocoPhillips, with operations in Santa Maria and the Nipomo Mesa, contributed $2,500 toward the purchase of books for the gorgeous new Santa Maria Library … The Midland Pacific Foundation helped raise $27,000 for the North County Women’s Shelter with the “Four Seasons” series of food and wine demonstrations at Idler’s in Paso Robles … The innovative Central Coast Education Collaborative and the local chapter of the Society of Professional Engineers, awarded $75,000 to local teachers and classrooms for science-related equipment and activities.
