SEEN & HEARD

October 13th, 2011

Major kudos to the Beach Tractors team that swept Sunset Magazine’s “One Block Feast” competition. Can’t wait to see the spring magazine spread … And we note Morro Bay City Manager Andrea Lueker can go the distance at more than just City Council meetings. The dedicated athlete finished first overall at the Santa Cruz Mermaid Triathlon, a women’s event with 270 participants. Andrea ran, swam and cycled her way to an amazing 1:21.02 finish time … Last year’s Central Coast Economic Forecast Event was busting at the seams – so much call for good information and some sizzle – that organizers have moved it to the Alex Madonna Expo Center. Save the date: November 8. Registration now underwayDick Willhoit and his team at Estrella Associates are well known North County housing and commercial developers. They’re at it again, this time with a four-home development on Santa Ysabel in Atascadero that Dick and son Wes purchased from another builder. The now-finished homes are for sale with a cool caveat: two of the four are reserved for purchase by current Atascadero residents and/or employees who work in Atascadero. Dick is working with the City to help at least two local families (or individuals) break into home ownership.
