The No on Measure H group is working feverishly to make sure 20 years of planning and future sports fields aren’t done in by a crazy ballot initiative. No on H Campaign leaders John Spatafore, Stacey White and Hillary Trout are a trio that inspires followers, and they’ve amassed an impressive list of supporters. Check it out and sign up to help at NoOnMeasureH.com … The Central Coast Economic Forecast group is well underway to producing a bang-up event November 5th. Save the date and earmark some dollars to help sponsor the program that keeps solid economic data coming our way. Speaking of economic data – the City of SLO offers a quarterly sales tax report that is full of info. And while the most recent report (first quarter 2010) showed a .5 percent decline, it was the lowest decrease in several years. We’re hoping that means things will continue to improve.

BCA extends our condolences to Shari Clark and family on the passing of Shari’s dad, Nipomo resident Bill Faulds, a remarkable man who had an impressive business career, and with his wife, Ethel, raised four children. He traveled the world, devoured books and celebrated family, enjoying every minute until a brief illness claimed him earlier this week.

Brown is the new green. That’s one of four messages BCA crafted for returning client Atascadero Mutual Water Company in a billboard  campaign to cut the parched NoCo town’s water use 20 percent this summer … Power up. BCA’s redesign of ThomaElectric.com is now online with new work and project highlights from the SLO firm’s near-50 year history … BCA intern Jenny Savage has drafted Cal Poly’s Central Coast PRspectives student-run PR firm to spread the word about Hunger Awareness Day June 2. Journalism majors Jessica Wynne, Nikhil Erlebach and  Katelyn Ball have concocted Pint Nights  May 26 and 27 with bartenders at local watering holes donating tips and sponsoring special drinks.
