Barnett Cox & Associates produced the “Ask Sierra Vista” online health education program – the first of its kind in the area – for Sierra Vista.  The program premiered on the new KSBY “Wellness Challenge” series April 29  and is online at AskSierraVista.com … Atascadero Mutual Water Company is a new BCA client for advertising with a focus on water conservation.

Mustangs on the loose. Cal Poly’s annual Open House happens this weekend, with thousands of alums and prospective students – with parents in tow – coming to town. Favorite events on Saturday: parade, Design Village, Truck and Tractor Pull, Cal Poly Rodeo … Jesse Sostrin and nonprofit Creative Mediation are launching the yearlong “Come to the Table” grassroots campaign to introduce mediation and conflict coaching services to “move people from conflict to resolution” … Radio duo Chad & Andy have switched stations and now appear weekdays 5 – 10 a.m. on Mega 97.1 broadcast from Santa Maria … Hear that train a-comin. Seen and Heard

As many as 300 arson investigators from around the state will converge on SLO late March for a conference that will include a controlled burn of four structures on the Dalidio Ranch … Something’s up south of town. Phase 1 of Charlie Senn and friends’ handsome new building near the airport is almost complete, with 10,000 sq. ft. for lease or sale. It’s designed for a second level and may eventually hold 90,000 sq. ft. on the five-acre property … KCOY  has opened a new SLO satellite office and news studio at 467 Hill St., former home to rival station KSBY.

BCA has a new sales and marketing staff lineup. After a stint with national retailers Parable Group and Horizon Hobby, Scott Morrell is BCA’s new sales manager. Ben Hein, with BCA since May 2007, was recently promoted to account manager. His major clients are Idler’s Appliances and Takken’s Shoes. New account manager Jennifer Saxon is a Cal Poly grad whose previous marketing experience includes George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate & Gardens near Washington, D.C. and the launch of the International Spy Museum, where her work garnered numerous industry awards (original release) … BCA adds 10 ADDY Awards to the trophy case, winning three silver and seven bronze for print advertising, TV spots, brochure mailers and more. Contributing to the success of the award-winning BCA projects were creative director Scott Saunders, senior designer Christopher Sutton and senior copywriters Jim deYong and Susan McDonald.
